Accounting, AAS Degree
Mitchell Tech’s Accounting program is designed to provide the skills needed for manual and computerized accounting and general office work. The purpose of the program is to expose students to accounting principles and practices as they prepare for business-related careers in a wide variety of areas.
The program includes instruction in general accounting, accounting principles and practices, posting transactions to accounts, record-keeping systems and a variety of accounting software packages. Students will learn efficient work practices and basic occupational skills and competencies.
Students will find numerous job options after obtaining an Associate of Applied Science degree in two years, or may choose to further their education and obtain a four-year baccalaureate degree at one of Mitchell Tech’s university partner schools.
Note: Students are required to use a laptop or notebook computer for this program. Students may purchase a laptop from Mitchell Tech or bring their own device that meets Mitchell Tech specifications.
