Student Location
The address and telephone number a student provides at the time of application will be considered the legal, home permanent address and phone number of the student. It is the student’s responsibility to provide a current address where the student will be located while attending classes. It is also the student's responsibility to update contact information via MyTech (Forms > Annual Data) if the student's address or telephone number changes at any point during enrollment at MTC.
For federal compliance purposes, MTC considers a student's location to be where the student is physically located at the time of initial enrollment in the program. "Initial time of enrollment" is defined as the 10th day of the semester or the last day to add/drop a course at the college in the semester when the student begins the program. The location of students attending distance education (online) programs is determined using the current address in MTC’s student information system. Students attending face-to-face programs will be assumed to be residing in South Dakota at the time of enrollment.
